Visually check the packing case and engine for freight
damage, paint damage or oil leak from the gear case. |

Check
for Owner's manual, tool kit, spare spark plug(s) and separate fuel tank / fuel lines.

(Other than the above, drag link,
remote control box, tachometer, trim meter,etc. (standard accessories) depending on each model). |

Check for loose nuts and bolts inside and outside the
motor cover. |
|
Check condition of fuel, oil injection pipes. |
|
Check gear oil level. |

Check electrical connection. |
|
Check ignition timing and carburettor(s) balance. |
|
Check lock systems (tilt lock, starter lock, reverse
lock). |
|
Check air bleed for automixing and power trim / tilt
systems. |
|
Check main, safety and neutral switches. |
|
Check cooling water system. |
|
Check engine idle speed. |
|
Check Tachometer and Trim Meter. |
|
Check Remote Control Systems fully operational. |
|
Give full operational details of the engine to the
client. |
|
Give details of the running in procedure to the client. |
|
Check for correct propeller application. |
|
Check power trim / tilt operation up and down. |
|
Check the installation height of the engine on the
transom. |
|
The client to read the Owner's Handbook carefully. |
